This isn’t a political debate, but ill gladly start one :stuck_out_tongue:

Carbon tax encourages companies to be greener because they would have to pay tax if they don’t… and those companies which do accept new technology will have lower production prices because they aren’t paying the tax. This won’t drive all companies overseas either, accepting renewable energy is a lot cheaper than shipping products out of here, and then back in. Screw ups? Australian economy has been the best in the world. We have done so well against other countries. People will always be so critical and negative about the government in power, but the fact is, they have don’t pretty well so far. I’m not against the liberal party, John Howard lead the country well for many years. Tony abbots negativity and miss-information has done its damage already. And yeah, we are speeding up the warming of the earth but it goes through these changes often… in the 1930’s the big thing was ‘global cooling’. Time will tell if scientists have correct.
