It has always been this way because of the traditional mindsets of most Chinese parents.

  1. Dragon is a very auspicious symbol.
  2. The Dragon represents the Emperor in the past. (The robes, throne and other stuffs were all themed in gold and dragon)

Alot of parents like to have their child be born in the year of the dragon. My big bro is born in the year of the dragon too! And, there are alot of Chinese quote themed around the dragon too :slight_smile:
