Its really sad that Cape Town gets a Summit and nothing for Johannesburg why is this?
There isnt a summit in every country nor at every show )only 6 so far in 12 years). There is however a meet and greet at every show. So just be grateful they are playing in SA!!! : )
Alot of us are flying down for the summit… There are even people flying down from USA and Australia (not to mention NAmibia)… So if you really wanted to go… you could have made a plan : )
Llewellyn put it perfectly. It takes work for the team to organise a Summit, so it’s something special they do only once in a while. The Cape Town Summit is only the second one this year! People from all over the world are coming to Cape Town just for this. I think it’s an honour to have Linkin Park finally play here, and the Summit is the (Especially big and tasty) cherry on top, which we’re lucky to have at all!
I second what the guys above me said.
It is simply not an easy thing to organize and takes a lot of preparation to put together. Keep in mind that LP do not decide where to play/hold a summit etc but management does. Also, holding a Summit requires not only the preparation I mentioned above but also the venues green light and facilities; i.e. not every venue allows such an event to take place.
If you really wanted to attend a Summit you could have easily gone to Cape Town in the first place instead of complaining about not having one in Johannesburg. Just be grateful they are finally coming to play there, there are still many countries they haven’t visited, i.e India.
yeah man you should be grateful…believe me if i had enough money i would fly all the way from serbia just cuz of the summit, but one day i will.
Did you consider go to Cape Town in order to attend the summit? I think it isn’t a problem if you don’t own a ticket for the concert at the night of the summit.
I hope this question is not meant seriously.
The rule is simple - one continent, one Summit. Though when I think of it, United States, Europe and Asia should get more than one after this.
has the Meet and Greet for the jhb part of the tour been released yet, enjoy the summit guys!!
Yeah. Just South America never had. [sad]
It would be a lot more sensible than doing one in South Africa. But they say that good things come in small packages. You will get one… eventually.
Just don’t totally ransack this place when it happens, please.

Yeah, I know! [biggrin] It’s their first time in South Africa and we don’t know when they will be back. So I agree when you said that it’s a great opportunity for them. I’m happy for them. I was just being dramatic. haha [lol]
